The State of Alaska and Legislature have adopted a renewable energy goal as part of the 2010 State Energy Policy. Recognized as one of the most ambitious of its kind in the nation, it says that by the year 2025, Alaska will get 50 percent of its energy from renewable sources. Susitna-Watana Hydro will play a significant role in helping the state achieve this objective.
